What They’re Wearing in: THE SOUTH

I will be honest with you. I’m not one to necessarily drop a lot of money on a shirt or a pair of pants, but when it comes to second-hand shopping and thrifting, I will gladly spend hours browsing isles of clothing to find the perfect outfit and pieces to add to my wardrobe.

Keeping up with the latest fashion trends is something I have always enjoyed, and I love to see the new styles and ways people wear clothing. It is so fun and interesting to watch the way fashion evolves over time and each year.

Anyways, keep scrolling along to see the latest fashion trends DOWN SOUTH, in my little neck of the woods.

The Maxi Skirt

A perfect transition from summer into fall, the maxi skirt is comfortable, versatile, and easily adaptable to any season. It is perfect for the office, a dinner date, a relaxing night out with friends, or even just a casual day. If you don’t have a maxi skirt in your closet yet, what are you doing? I’m just kidding…. But seriously? What are you doing? LOL!

Levi’s

You already know they are wearing Levi’s. A blue jean brand that will always be in style… This time they are a little bit longer and cut off at the bottom. Thrifting Levi’s is always so fun and there is so much potential in thrifted jeans.

The Two-Piece Set

That’s right, you read that correctly. A two-piece set. Matching two-piece sets are in and cuter than ever! You can find them for a pretty affordable price, too. You can even just wear the top with a different pair of pants and vice versa. I got mine at Target!

Fun Cowboy Boots

Wearing a pair of fun cowboy boots with a cute lil’ dress is always an option for something to wear. Going to a football game? Perfect fit. This is trendy and something being worn down south for sure!

Trucker Hats

The trucker hat phase is one that is still trending and makes a great excuse for a messy bun and dirty hair.

The Flowy Dress

With the transition between summer and fall, it is just too hard to not wear a comfy long, flowy dress. Long, flowy dresses were pretty popular all summer long. From bright colors to patterned ones, they are still making an appearance as the seasons’ change.

Sweat Sets

The sweat set trend is the perfect excuse to leave the house without having to dress up. If you don’t own one of these comfy and affordable sets yet, go find one asap! You can get one just about anywhere, tbh.

Hair Clippies

I already know you have one or a few of these… The clip that just keeps growing on us! These hair clippies are so cute and make every bad hair day SO.MUCH.BETTER. I will be honest, I had to ask my friends to teach me how to wear it because… I am awful at doing ANYTHING when it comes to hair. But, I think I have the hang of it??? Oh well, at least I am in TREND. Go get yourself one if you don’t have one yet! Affordable, fun, fashionable, and cute!

Pink + Orange

I love the pink and orange duo, even though my friend Nicole once told me that they don’t match. (When I had on an orange outfit and started applying pink eyeshadow in front of her) The pink + orange trend is one that has been going on for a while now, and I really do enjoy it.

Brown

I remember when I was in first grade, blue and brown, green and brown, and pink and brown were trending. There was then a phase of how brown is awful and ugly… NOW! It is back and very trendy. The people are wearing brown again!!!

Lots of Color

I have been in love with this trend! Throw on some green jeans and a pink shirt, it works. A very bright dress? That’s ok! I love bright colors and I am so glad to add bold color to my closet without just black and neutral pieces.

I hope you enjoyed scrolling through and seeing a few of the latest fashion trends as we transition between summer and fall. It is always fun to sit down and write about what everyone is wearing, shopping for, and what is trending fashion-wise.
