Living in Wyoming has taught me a lot about things I would never experience in Mississippi. Not only the heavy snowfall, but the lack of humidity and constant changes in the season.
For this, I am very grateful. The seasons change, and with the change of a new season, come more fashion trends and fads. It is late July in Wyoming, but soon to be approaching fall in the next 6-8 weeks. Let’s have a rundown of fashion in this time.
The Denim Vest
A timeless staple, denim vests have been trending all summer long. A cowgirl staple some might say, the denim vest can be paired with denim jeans or shorts or a midi to long flowy skirt. Of course, don’t forget to wear your cowgirl boots with this fit!

The Flowy Skirt
Something people are definitely wearing is a flowy skirt. Skirts come and go in fashion fads, but a comfy, flowy skirt has been trending all summer long! As mentioned above, it is usually paired with a denim vest, baby tee, or tank top. Check out the trending looks below to see what people are wearing!

The Long Denim Midi Skirt
So, now that we have skirts and denim vests in the lineup, let’s combine them into one: The Long Denim Midi Skirt. Yep! That’s right. The midi denim skirt is trending in all colors. Denim, black denim, and white denim. I haven’t personally hopped on this trend yet, (and by that I mean wearing it) but I do think it is cute and a great summer to fall transition outfit. Here is some outfit inspo:

The Knit Cardigan
Layering is a must-have during the seasonal transition periods. The cardigan comes and goes with each year, but this year it has been trending frequently. From a light knit cardigan to a thicker one, a loose sleeve around your arms can be a must carry along piece to any outfit as the temperature drops in the night.

The Overall
Overall, (no pun intended)- this trend is a perfect staple piece to have in your wardrobe as summer turns into fall. It can be styled up or styled down. Overalls are fun, cute, and give that cowgirl core feel. Do you have a pair of overalls in your closet?

The Two Piece Set
A great and easy way to be fashionable while the seasons change is to wear a two piece set. It is stylish, and it has been a trend all year long. You can dress a two piece set up or down. You can wear it around the house, running errands, or even to work.

The Silk Skirt
Nothing screams summer comfort like silk! Silk is a versatile fabric, making it versatile for all different types of seasons and weather. Silk skirts are comfortable and fashionable. This makes for a great and easy transition piece for your closet!

I hope you enjoyed reading new ways to transition your summer style into your fall style. There are some great transition ideas out there and I hope you take the seven ideas that I listed into consideration while refreshening your closet!
